Only in football can boys be separated from men, that was the case yesterday  at the ceremonial home of football, Rufaro stadium, where the trailblazing Green Army gunned down Dynamos after so many years of defeats.

Kepekepe took the lead on the 19th minute after the new boy Justice Jangano connected off a corner kick to place the ball beyond the reach of young and talented Tatenda Mukuruva, in-goals for Dynamos.

After 13 minutes, Dynamos leveled the matters through Walter Mukanga .

The score line stood till the referee of the day blew to mark the end of first half.

When the second half resumed, on the 60th minute,chaos erupted after Mutuma was hacked down and the referee waved a play on.

The chaos continued in the Caps United half, which resulted in the sending off of two players.

Dembare supporters protested against the decision creating a tense atmosphere, which in turn yielded 2 red cards, one for a Dynamos player Sidney Lenyama, and the other for Caps United goal scorer Justin Jangano.

Former Caps United players, who joined Dynamos Dominic Chungwa and Kelvin Bulaji, took turns to miss the target, with some chances easier to score than to miss.

Former Dynamos player who joined Caps United Roderick Mutuma had a good game, though Augustine Mbara kept him under lock and key with his good defence skills.

After 90 minutes went by, no changes were made on the scoreboard, spilling the game to penalties.

Rodrick Mutuma opened the scoring account for United on penalties, which Dembare leveled.

Fellow players, Fiyado, Twaliki, Mukandi also found the back of the net.

Malawian import, Gerald Phiri, placed the ball beyond the reach of Mukuruva to make his goal the 6th on penalties.

Makopa Milton was left cursing the football gods after his effort skied, making sure the Cup Kings tag returns to Caps United.

Speaking to this publication Moses Muchenje applauded the new coach at Caps United saying coach Mark Harrison has marked his arrival in a unique way of beating their archrival Dynamos.

“The coach has marked his arrival in the league by beating Dynamos we are very happy about this result,” said the dreadlocked player.

Coach Mark Harrison commended his team performance though he said Caps United is not yet where he wants it to be.

“The boys played well though we still have a long way to go where we want to be and we are in the right direction,” Harrison said

Coach David Mandigora introduced tik taka, which most Dynamos players are struggling to adjust to and both teams Caps United and Dynamos did not show that they are the teams to reckon in the league.

Dynamos fans accepted the defeat and they showed maturity by congratulating Caps United.

“In football we expect three results, a win, draw or lose and today we my team Dynamos lost to Caps and I say congratulations to Caps United,” said one supporter popularly known as Mbada.
