YOUTH LEAGUE CONDEMNS CHIVAYO’S “MALICIOUS” UTTERANCES AGAINST PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA

Report by Wilis Moyo

Harare, Zimbabwe – The ZANU PF Youth League has issued a scathing statement condemning businessman Wicknell Chivhayo’s recent utterances about his alleged close relationship with President Emmerson Mnangagwa. The League describes Chivhayo’s claims as “malicious, unfounded, and scandalous”.

While acknowledging Chivhayo’s donations to society members, the Youth League questions the source of his income and warns him against using the President’s name for personal gain. They emphasize that the President’s open-door policy must not be abused.

The League also claims that a video circulating of Chivhayo at Bulawayo Airport with Youth League members was misrepresentative and taken out of context. They stress that such airport receptions are reserved for the President and Head of State only.

The Youth League calls on Chivhayo to cease using the President’s name in his “nefarious shenanigans” and urges relevant authorities to investigate the matter to protect the President and national interests.

Signed by Phillipa Mukoko, Secretary for Information and Publicity, the statement reaffirms the League’s commitment to defending the President’s integrity and reputation.
