A Messenger of Hope* Ushering the New Dawn. Edith Chibhamu is a messenger of hope who is destined to bring sustainable development to Zimbabwe. She is the President, Founder and First Secretary of Zimbabwe Democratic and Economic Freedom Party (ZDEFP). Under the leadership of Cde Edith Chibhamu the party will promote inclusive development polices centred around highly productive agricultural, mining and manufacturing sectors, an efficient and stable financial system, a robust physical infrastructure, innovation, an empowered Zimbabwean People and mutually beneficial international relationships that protect the interests of Zimbabwe and its future generations.
President Edith Chibhamu is a visionary and pragmatic leader, who is poised to bring accelerated development with its attend positive outcomes to the People of Zimbabwe. Edith Chibhamu is an engaging and highly accessible leader who:
a) Listens to the People;
b) Engages with People regardless of their social and economic standing;
c) She is trustworthy;
d) Believes in the dignity of hard work;
e) Is an action oriented and believes in implementing promises made to the People;
f) Upholds sound ethical governance practices that demand accountability, transparency and responsibility in the management of public resources and the economy, and
g) Believes in uplifting the living standards of all Zimbabweans.
Our leader is a mature unifier and she pledged servant leadership to a united Zimbabwe which knows no political affiliation, colour, age, gender or tribe.
She values dialogue and engagement to propel development as demonstrated by her engagement with regional and international community, political organisations and their leadership in Zimbabwe, business community, youth, religious organisations, traditional and community leaders as well Institutions of Higher Learning.
Edith Chibhamu believes in uplifting of the youth as the future of Zimbabwe. She is both a mother and role model to the youth. Her policies on youth empowerment, education and skills development as well as innovation are a clear testimony of her aspirations for youth development.
Edith Chibhamu has a distinctive track record that puts him in good standing for the highest position in the Party. She is ready to serve the People of Zimbabwe.
It is through the leadership of President Edith Chibhamu and the Party leaders that the People’s aspirations will be realised. The Zimbabwe Democratic and Economic Freedom Party(ZDEFP) is driven by the ideologyof Servant Leaders, where the leaders are elected to serve the People as informed by the tenets of good governance and constitutionalism.
