I am shocked to say the least by the statement published by the late General Vitalis Zvinavashe’s family spokesperson Augustine Zvinavashe regarding the dissociation of Edith Chibhamu from the family.

I wonder which family he was speaking about because myself, I am also a Zvinavashe who was raised by the late General himself. What has shocked me is that the man speaking does not know all the things the General did with his life. I lived with the late army boss from 1980 to 2009, and I remember all the women he had children with. They are the same children that came into the family, when they were already mature but, no one took them for DNA to prove if they were really his children.

Allow me to set the record straight as the person who was raised by the late General himself. Edith Chibhamu is the late General’s daughter and her mother Felistus Wood a colored woman was with him for years till her final ours in 2003.

If any member of the family had a problem with Edith Chibhamu he/she should have contacted her and discussed at a personal/family level.

You must be honest with yourselves that no one knows the late General’s path except the people who lived with him. I think it’s time we should stop this ongoing war with the late General’s widow and starting building our own wealth. It’s now crystal clear that you are denying other children entrance into the family because you are scared they will also claim their own share from the properties left by the General.

Mr. Augustine Zvinavashe lets respect ourselves and stop all this drama, I was raised by the General and I might shock you with the truths and facts about all of us.
