Speaking at a press conference in Harare on Tuesday, Nguni said ‘MDC in charge of Harare City Council imported cyanide and water purification chemicals in the same truck from South Africa which was meant to kill hundreds of thousands of people as a way of getting the United Nations to intervene after that manufactured national disaster’.
He said the truck owner who was hired to deliver the chemicals was arrested but nothing was done to the MDC officials who were behind the whole issue.
Nguni added that whenever the MDC officials wanted money they approached the councils and set up companies to do business with them.
He also accused the City Council of corruptly awarding the late Morgan Tsvangirai’s daughter, Vimbai (late) and her husband Batsirai Java a contract to import water purification chemicals from Australia but nothing was delivered.
“The Harare City Council gave the contract to Tsvangirai’s daughter and her husband to deliver water purification chemicals from Australia but there are reports that the council never received any purification chemicals which it had paid huge amount of money for” he said
He also accused the City council of corruptly allocating stands to Nelson Chamisa and his brother.
“We have to eradicate corruption in Harare City Council. Chamisa was given a stand in Gunhill but he was not on the waiting lists and the same was done to his brother and other MDC officials.”
