Mliswa Gets Personal With Cabinet Ministers Moyo, Kasukuwere

As the Zanu Pf party elective congress draws  nearer, the name-calling and counter accusations of espionage between members of alleged factions has escalated.

On Monday  Themba Mliswa, the Zanu Pf Mashonaland West Provincial chairperson,  held a press conference at the Media Centre in the capital city  at which he launched a scathing attack on Minster of Media, Information and Broadcasting Services  Professor Jonathan Moyo.

Mliswa stated at the beginning of the press conference that he intended to set the record straight concerning reports in the state controlledSunday Mail weekly newspaper alleging that he works for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)  of the United States of America.

Mliswa, who is also a member of the House of Assembly for  Hurungwe West accused Professor Jonathan Moyo  of in fact being the one who works closely with the CIA and of hijacking  the ruling party’s agenda to serve foreign interests.

“The role of a CIA is to have a close relationship with security chiefs in a country and it is evident that Moyo has close ties with the security forces,” Mliswa said.

Mliswa who openly revealed that he belongs to the Mujuru-led faction castigated Moyo for  allegedly promoting factionalism in the ruling party.

“Moyo together with Zhuwao once spearheaded an- anti Mugabe campaign that was meant to dethrone the president and Moyo will be delighted to see the party falling apart,” said Mliswa adding that the young and energetic people in the party like himself will put that to a stop.

Mliswa profusely refuted allegations that he is linked to the CIA  saying that looking for funding  to develop a constituency does not make one qualify as CIA.

“I met Eric Little while looking for funding for my constituency and the funding never materialized.

“The story is not about my meeting with Eric Little but it all goes back to the succession question in which Moyo and Kasukuwere think that they are kingmakers yet they have no kingdoms,” said Mliswa.

He went to denounce state papers for purporting lies at the same time leaving aside newsworthy events.

“I was given more coverage in the Sunday Mail. The coverage was so extensive to the point that the president himself who was returning from the general assembly did not get such coverage,” Mliswa said adding that news website Nehanda Radio is far more credible than some state-controlled papers.
