Pursuant to the launch of the Citizen’s Cabinet two weeks ago, the Citizens’ Manifesto, today unveiled the portfolio leads who will coordinate various Cabinet Portfolios, the convener and chief secretary.

Speaking to the journalists at the Media Centre, Briggs Bomba, the Convener of the Citizens Cabinet, noted that the vision of the cabinet is of an inclusive and democratic Zimbabwe defined by participatory development.

“We invite the various interest groups, policy makers, the citizens of Zimbabwe both locally and in the Diaspora, to interact and engage with the cabinet in promoting public accountability by tracking government ministries’ performance and also in proffering alternative policy formulation” Bomba said.

The Citizens’ Cabinet consist of the

1. Convener and International Relations portfolio- Briggs Bomba.
2. Deputy Convener and Finance and Economic development portfolio- Janet Zhou.
3. Chief Secretary- Ashleigh Pfunye.

Briggs Bomba is the leader of Citizens Manifesto, Janet Zhou is official spokesperson of Citizens manifesto and Ashleigh Pfunye is Secretary General of Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU).

The portfolio leads are as follows:

1. Finance and Economic Development- Janet Zhou.
2. Public Sector Innovation- Sakhile Sifelani.
3. Informal Economy and SMEs Development- Michael Ndiweni.
4. Mining, Natural Resources and Environment -Mutuso Dhliwayo.
5. Education- Robson Chere.
6. Public Infrastructure and Urban Development- Clever Bere.
7. Arts, Heritage and Culture & Tourism- Buthelezwi Kgosi Nyathi.
8. Labour and Social Security- Naome Chakanya.
9. Lands and Agriculture Development- Walter Chambati.
10. Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs- Tafadzwa Mugabe
11. Gender Justice- Glanis Changachirere.
12. Youths and Sports- Misheck Gondo.
13. Media Freedom of Expression and ICTs- Farai Sam Monro.
14. Health- Rutendo Bonde.
15. Social Cohesion and National Healing- To be announced.
16. Industry and Commerce- To be announced.
