Wedza Rural District Council has shared its schedules for budget consultation meetings which are set to start on 20th September to 1st October 2021.Wedza Residents Development Initiative (WERDIT) has taken it upon themselves to is encourage people especially women to attend the meetings in their respective wards to air out their views to be included in the 2022 budget.

Women are usually the worst affected group in poorly run councils hence the need to rally them to participate. According to the last budget consultative meetings, very few women were in attendance fearing that their views will not be taken onboard.

Local Councillors are seen taking their roles using different platforms to inform people about the meetings.
