Lovejoy Mugwagwa, a headmistress at Mutikizizi Primary School appeared before Bikita resident magistrate for beating Hazviperi Muchembere on duty for failing to support her in stage managed rape case.

It is alleged that the headmistress, invited Mrs Muchembere together with the deputy headmistress. She is said to have cooked an insubordination case against Muchembere and grabbed her by the collar insulting and beating her like a school child.

As if this was not enough, on a different day she took a peg and beat Tadiwanashe Muchembere, daughter to Hazviperi Muchembere, for noise making, and her alone in a class of 45 children.

Asked for comment, one senior teacher at the school confided that the headmistress did not want criticism from her teachers and if she hates someone, she does so openly and unreservedly.

The two cases have been reported to the police separately. It appears bad blood has developed between the two families such that their relationship is very sour.
It is disturbing when females illtreats their fellow women at work.
