Speaking about the incident Chin’ono’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa said security agents have “abducted” the journalist and his whereabouts are still unknown. The police forced their way into his house by shattering a glass door.

“We have just arrived at Hopewell’s house after receiving that his home has been surrounded by about eight security agents and they broke the glass at his door, gained entry and he has been abducted we are not sure where he has been taken to, his workers said they didn’t produce a warrant” she said

The latest incident comes after Chin’ono tweeted about suspected state security agents besieging his home thus morning.
